That same study also shows that 70% say they never or almost never use mental health services/resources; 57% say they don't ask for help because they think there will be negative repercussions; and 40% specifically fear being demoted or fired.

While all of these numbers are concerning, they also shows that you are not alone. Thankfully, there are organizations and resources that can help you receive the help you need safely and anonymously.

National Crisis Text Line - Text FRONTLINE to 741741 to text with a trained first responder crisis counselor

Frontline Responder Services - 1-866-676-7500, all calls are confidential. Provides support for addiction, anger management, depression, anxiety, sleep deprivation, PTSD, psychological distress, divorce, and family issues.

International Critical Incident Stress Foundation Hotline - 1-410-313-2473, Any emergency service organization, or individual connected with an emergency service, may call the 24-hour Emergency Hotline for assistance or information on locating a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team. If a situation distresses emergency workers and they need guidance in working through the stress, this hotline can also be called.
